I was wondering where you guys set your controlls on both the amp and bass to create that tight sound? Like the bass in Mellencamps "Wild Nights" I play a Dingwall thru a Mesa Carbine just wondered how to approach it Dan
You might want to post a clip or a link to a video of what you mean- a 'tight' sound can have different definitions to different people.
What I do to get a bit of a 'punchier' sound so to speak is to pluck over the bridge pickup and boost my low mids slightly, with everything else EQd sparingly.
