I wonder what the 4th generation improvements are? I have a Deluxe V and I think anything is an upgrade from the N3's and factory preamp.

Its not that you CAN'T drive to India, you just don't WANT to. Lets go try that NH zip code again shall we?
Still shows India. Just checked the bus schedule. No can do......
Who knows what Fender is doing. The Elite guitars have been on there since NAMM, but no basses. The bass section on that page seems to be an afterthought.
They are simply waiting for the rebrand to be complete. Starting around Summer NAMM all imported FMIC basses will be branded Sires and USA basses will be made by Ernie Ball and called Fender by MusicMan. Sterling Ball wins again.
I have no idea what the improvements might be. Hopefully some one will get one soon or maybe somebody played one at the NAMM Show and will chime in.
It's ridiculous. It's 2016. There's no excuse for a website with outdated and outright wrong information. It's not a mom and pop shop with a kid in the back room running the website. It's the Fender Musical Instrument Corporation.
This link works, but I cannot get to the American Deluxe Jazz V from the Fender home page. The 4 string is still there, but no 5 string.
I've noticed they've been reworking the menus. I know from experience running a commercial website that sometimes changing menus and the related enabling/disabling/etc of link trees can cause funky mistakes like that.
That makes since. It's clearly still on their site, but the only way to get to it is with an "external" search....thus explains the menu changes

Musicians are some of the greatest Consumers in the world. As long as we keep buying the Prices will keep creeping up. And we'll keep buying Fender went up in Prices to include Squiers.

There is something screwy with the Fender website every year at about this time.
Well, yeah, but you are applying common sense, good customer relations 101, effective marketing 101, and 21st century thinking to Fender! They clearly do not have a clue as to what century they are currently operating in nor do they understand that customers and potential customers actually pay attention to their web site and expect to get current, relevant information from it. And make purchase decisions based on what they see or don't see there. Are they still in the mindset of depending on dealers to teach customers about their product line? They kinda act like it but what a mistake that is in this day and age!
There are so many problems with how Fender runs their web site that we don't have the time to hash them all out. All I can tell you is that if you want to know what Fender is going to offer or discontinue this year by looking at their web site then you will have to wait another two to six months to be sure they are done updating the information and even then you can't trust them to get what they present correct or publish what you really want to know at all. It is sad, they'd do themselves a huge favor if they got their web site act together.
