What's wrong with me?! Somebody help!!!!

I'm liking the allergy suggestions. It could be food related or even smell related. The lack of accompanying physical symptons doesn't make that a strong candidate though.

I bet it's no big deal. I'm not so sure you are having anxiety attacks. Lot's of chemical reactions going on in the body of a 17 year old.

But hey, I am no doctor. I like the idea of going to your family doctor.

Haha a good theory, but no.

Like I said, it's like I'm trying to remember or think of something very specific, but I can't quite grasp it in my head while it's there, and it's very frustrating. And as soon as the little episode is over it's totally gone so I can't recall it.

and also it's not like..."oh damn I forgot this," kind of thing. It's a totally uncontrollable thing that will hit me out of nowhere. I posted about it today b/c it happened several times today, whereas some days it won't happen at all. It's very sporadic.

When it happens I become lightheaded, and I get this almost tight feeling throughout my whole body, which is also very hard to describe unless it's happening.

Well, I'm allergic to eggs and it causes panic-attack like symptoms. I get freaked out, I can't concentrate, I feel nervous and anxious and sometimes I hallucinate. There aren't any physical symptoms. Before I knew what I was allergic to they would happen sporadically because it only happens after I eat over a certain amount of eggs. My body can take a little bit, but not a lot. And it takes 4 days to get the allergen out of your system. So you could be eating something you're allergic to, but your body only reacts after you've reached a certain amount. And it could react at any time.

Candida overgrowth can cause it too. Research it on the internet, got to http://www.candidafree.net/

Rule out those two things before looking further. And stop posting here and freaking out and go do something!!!

As others have indicated it could be related to anxiety. Read this on dissociation:

Sound familiar at all?

Whether it does or not, see a doctor. It may not be psychological at all and could be symptoms of a physiological condition. (No, I'm not a doctor -- just speculating here.) Best to play it safe and see a professional so you can be sure.
