What's your dream rig?

I had my dream rig with a chordelectronics power amp, a custom built pre and wayne jones cabs.
These days, and if weight was no object, I might go for a glockenklang bassart or a Rheingold rig.
...Or maybe I'd get another chordelectronics power amp and new cabs( I still have the pre and use it for recording.)

More realistic would be a really light transistor amp and a light cab.
But...who still makes transistor amps, let along really light ones that sound good?

Fractal AX8 straight into the board. I just got one used a couple weeks ago off reverb, got to put it to work over the weekend at an outdoor gig. My bandmates & I are still talking about how dramatically superior it sounded over what I was using previously. No more pedalboard & knobs getting bumped outta whack, and my whole rig fits into the back of a Jeep Cherokee. Two plugs, and one more for my in-ears and I'm in heaven. Plus I can bring it home and play around with guitar sounds as well as bass. I could go on lol.

I have a UA 2-610 in my studio. I tried it for bass a couple times, for some reason it just didn’t do it for me.

Dude buy a QSC. No bridging. 4ohm at 1000watt per channel. You know what kinda power that makes? Effing insane headroom.

I dig the Wayne Jones stuff, really helps when the guy who owns the company and dreams up the gear is a bass player. But lately my dream rig would be just a pair of Line 6 L3t powered speakers, if I ever felt like it lacked bottom end add the sub.

6 space rack with Mesa WD800, Joe Meek 6Q2 strip/comp, a 1 space recording interface (not sure which one), a Demeter HBP 1 integrated amp (because variety and redundancy!), power strip....sitting on top of Mesa Subway 15/15/12 stack.

I have the cabs and the WD800....my Joe Meek is in a floor Q/ stomp box format, and I once owned and (like a moron) sold the Demeter head. This rig could handle anything and everything I do, and anything I'd wanna do.

For me right now I think the dream rig would be:

Rack mounted Crown XLi1500 power amp under a Tech 21 SansAmp GED-2112 preamp. This rack would sit atop a stacked pair of Fearless 12/6/1 cabs.

yep. that sounds good to me too... especially as you could swap the pre´s as you wish...

I have two dream rigs, that I will never have.
1. V4B on top of two B15'S cabs loaded with something similar sounding to K140's.
2. SVT on top of two Sunn 200's cabs loaded with something close to D140's.

It is. I had the Aguilar SL212 and it’s lighter than that.

Also the 900 is OVERKILL! I play in a loud Rock/Hard Rock band with one of the loudest drummers on the planet and I barely dial in any volume on my Master...basically it sits at about 8-9 O’clock.

for reference I also have the following rigs:
Ampeg SVT212 with V4-B
Ashdown ABM 600 with ABM 410
(2) Orange OBC 112’s with TerrorBass 500

The DG gets all my live work.

Thanks for the shot and comments! I have asked for my DG amp and cab for christmas....really hoping! I know that it's loud, but i would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!
