When did Warwick start making the $$?

I have a 2008 Warwick Corvette $$ 5-string. I know a lot of people say Warwick necks are chunky, but I think the one on my $$ isn't thick enough. I was wondering if they made a $$ version that has the older "baseball bat" neck profile, bonus if it is wenge rather than ovangkol.

FREE BONUS QUESTION*:
Does anybody know if such a neck would be a direct bolt-on for my 2008 $$?

G'day Eddie.
The $$,iirc was released in 2002,but dont quote me on that.From 2009,Warwick have reverted back to the slim neck profile while the older thicker style neck is still available thru the custom shop.
You can swap necks between Warwick basses but not always.You see,every Warwick necks is individually matched to it's body so the screw holes will probably not line up perfectly.
Then there's the issue of obtaining a replacment neck.Warwick doesnt sell necks on their own.The only way to get a neck replaced is if it's faulty or damaged & then you have to send the bass back to Warwick,via a dealer,for a replacement.

Wenge necks are still available thru the custom shop.

That is to say,it was released in 05,but the earliest $$'s serial numbers can read 04.
Just to clarify.
**Is it too late to blame that 2002 error on fat fingers & the 2 being too close to the 5 on my keyboard?hahaha!
How's that fer a save Fillipe?
