When is Vintage Vintage?

All guitars, if not destroyed, will become "vintage" (loose term), some will sell at a flea market for 1/10 or their original price, some will sell at guitar shows for 10 times (or more) their original price. Vintage, as we like to use the word, should describe a piece that has gained in value and desirablilty not necessarily because of it's quality. But not because it has reached some magical age.
