Bridgeport, CT here. Pretty close to LI, there's actually a ferrey here that goes to Port Jefferson.

I've actually taken that ferry once! My grandparents used to live up there and I took the boat across the Sound for a visit once. Port Jeff is a mighty nice town. A friend of mine lives right near there, but I don't remember CT too good, I haven't been there in years.

Seriously, I live in some hick town in NW Alabama, called Tuscumbia. It's the birthplace of Helen Keller, has a population of around 900, and there is NOTHING to do, unless you like fishing or swimming in the nations 3rd most polluted river -- I don't. I'm originally from Mission Viejo, California, and I want everyone to remember that. Spent a lot of time in the Bay Area, too. I lived there for 11 years before my parents finalized divorce and my mom ran off with some guy she met at the bar she worked at that was from here (he was on business). So she runs off with this guy, wins custody, and that's how I got here.

For those of you who were cold today, I can understand. With the Wind Chill Factor, it was 82 degrees F today. New Years Eve, I gigged outdoors in long pants and a short sleeved shirt.

I moved here because I wanted to be the best bass player on the continent. Unfortunately, one of the people posted here has her 8 year old son with her. He has been playing since the day after I moved here (loaned him one of my basses - big mistake!!!), so once again, I am number 2.

Having said that though, my grandfather was from Montreal & my father lived out there for five years after being born in Maidstone, Kent, so I've got some French-Canadian heritage as well (might explain why I like Alain Caron's playing )
