Where do you keep your bass stored?

Aren't we not supposed to go dig up old threads, though? I'm just curious as to where the current people on Talkbass keep theirs as opposed to myself and those I know.

I have two rooms dedicated to music in my apt - so it's either wall hangers or a rockstand that holds three (usually my 2 strats and my P which I use most on that because it's physically closest to me)
when I'm back from a gig they go right back to the stands, no matter how tired I am.

FWIW I have basses in my living room on a guitar tree, or in case, I have 3 in my bedroom on stands or on the wall, and 2 at the studio.

As foir the thread. My foll around basses hang on the wall My Ric stays in the case because that's the one I take to go jam with. But I picked up a Fender Hotrod last week and now I have two in cases. Plus I now have to figure out which one I reall wnat to go jam with.

Mine is in the living room.....................but in its case. I have a dog who would run right over it on his way to bark at the front window. So I keep it in the case.

next to my nightstand an arms length away,,have to keep it bagged or all the wild belly dancers will sometimes scuff it up(yeah right)

Though my kid is not interested these days... But until my studio is finished, I keep one bass, and one guitar on stands next to my mix desk. The rest are stored in their hard shell cases, upright (vertically) in my closet.

I have a 1968 fender precision bass. circa 1975, I put it under my bed in its hard case. Life got in the way until about 2 years ago. I had it checked out and was told it is in mint shape. So that's where it goes when I'm not going to play it for a few days
