Where is Behndy? That guy used to always crack me up on here.

Perhaps not coincindentally, there's a YT channel with the name of Behndy that started posting synth videos like crazy a few years back.

He did do some cool reviews way back when about pedals I was interested in... some Devi ever and such. and by review I mean usually the video ended up sideways through a weird filter and the pedal by itself next to a teddy bear or something... but hey the Audio was good!

Hmm, I must have (luckily) missed the the violent crime stuff.
I know he hasn't been on here in a while, I was just curious why that's all.
He seemed to lighten up the mood around here a lot back then.

Behndy was one of the reasons I started hanging out here.
He loved Sushi, IIRC. More oft entertaining than off-putting and at times both — he had his own way with words.

There's been a few people who joined the Banned that I wish were still around, good people who got caught in the...






Certainly, Behndy was a unique character.

I think I remember him. He did a lot of weird sounding pedal demos, right? Based on everyone's post then yeah I definitely remember him. His posting style was like he posted using talk to text to post, got into a conversation with someone else while it was still running, and then never corrected anything.

Theres a few names I remember from back in the day, some I know got banned, some changed their name and some just disappeared.

Mr pickles? Pretty sure he did the first noise/ instrumental albums I did a few contributions to... and then the guys that used to run bass fuzz.com in which I grabbed the super tentacle love fuzz edition which I had for some time before I sold it.

Yeah Grygryx (I think it was) did Bass Fuzz. Com, I really enjoyed it. Yeah I remember mr Pickles, Toasted, TaySte, Mark Olson, Mystic Boo (who may or may not have become Jared Lash). Jimmy M is still about.

I used to be in the effects forum all the time back then (i think I joined tb in 07) but then I took a break and have been a casual contributor since. Actually I kinda get a kick out of googling stuff about a pedal and reading my own thoughts on it from a decade earlier... I've clearly learned nothing!

The effects Forum is my bank's worst enemy.

Sorry for the derail! It's both nice and weird to reminisce about people I don't actually know but felt like they were part of the "crew", even if I wasn't.

that happened to me to... I googled about using the Devi ever bit and my own review came up haha whoops! Barely remember owning it. Yeah I think I was pretty consistent for a while and took a break, only really came back to the forums regularly when rejoined a band and was gigging lots at 2014/15 onwards... now My band is kind a defunct, the GAS for messing around at home is it... the struggle is real!

Yeah Mr. Pickles did all the noise comps. He he had some health issues around the time he was going to put out v3 or v4 and I took over and put it all together for him. Because of that we're friends on Facebook. He had covid bad for a while but seems like he's better now.
