I just purchased a Rev Solo from Upton bass for my upright, as soon as I receive it I'll be installing it, and then deciding which amp to buy. One that I've leaned toward is the GK MB115, since it's fairly low-priced and still a good amount of wattage, and most jazz gigs I'll be doing I expect will be medium at the biggest. Have any of you paired a Rev Solo with this particular amp? Also, which amps (in this price range) have you played through with this pickup and liked? (I realize that different basses get different sounds with various pickup/amp combinations, but was curious to find if there are any common denominators anywhere) Thanks.

Double Bass Which amp to pair with a RevSolo pickup

I've played my RSII through a Marshall AS50R and was pleased with the sound. It's really not a bass amp, though, it's a small acoustic guitar PA-type thing. Nice amp. I also played it through a Carvin Pro Bass 100 with a single 15. I think the Marshall sounded better, and I think a lot of that is because of the 2-10's as compared to the single 15. If I get a new bass amp, and I would like to, I'm looking for tens. Good luck.
The first thing you should pair the Rev Solo, or just about any piezo pickup with is these recent posts. The 10 Mohm input impedance loads the pickup very nicely and the adjustable HPF gets rid of nasty infrasonics in addition to being useful as a control to cut the "boom" in some difficult situations. Do a search in this forum to learn more. As a start, check these recent posts.
I'm using a Rev Solo II with GK MB210 amp and HPF-Pre. I like the sound and with 350W I rarely have gain and master volume over half way up for medium size gigs (2-300 seats). I'd think the MB115 combo at 200W would work well for small to medium jazz gigs. More volume than the MB150 used by many DB players and a lot less expensive.
If you are fitting the RS II yourself, take your time and be sure to get a snug fit as that's key to getting the optimum sound. There should be resistance when you push the pickup into the bridge wing, but not so tight you want to hit it with something to get it in there.

Yeah, I'm having that installed for me by a luthier. One thing I'm still debating with is whether to go ahead and buy an amp of bigger wattage, like the 210 or something, or to just stick with what is more practical for right now in terms of money. I guess for any gig above "medium" size I could run the amp DI or something, plus have the bass miked?
