Which bass

Hi!
I'm looking for a new bass, wouldn't be able to spend over $700. I have been looking at the Schecter Custom 4 and Schecter Studio 4. Which would you recommend, or are there any others basses around this price line (my styles are indie rock and metal)?
Thanks in advance!!
Jonny

personally i think if your dead set on buying a Schecter i would buy the Schecter Model 004

Schecter's 004 bass combines an eye-catching ash body design with 2-band active EQ. The Schecter custom bridge accomodates either string through the body or top load. The Schecter active pickups can be switched to passive mode and the 004 offers master volume and blend controls. Just what you need to shape the perfect sound.

Schecter 004 Bass Guitar Features:
5-bolt-on construction
34" scale
Ash body
Maple neck
Rosewood fingerboard
24 Jumbo frets
Block Inlays
Schecter Active Passive pickups
Master volume & master blend controls
Active 2-band EQ (pull for passive)
Schecter Custom String-Thru-Body (or Top Load) bridge
Creme binding
Schecter tuners
Chrome hardware w/ brass nut

I recently played off their current models and was most impressed with this one, much more agile than the rest and gives you a much wider tone variety, not to mention it will do passive and active...lol

If i was going to buy a Schecter this would be it....

In fact I think some of my Tax refund may ed up on this bad boy...

Everbody who has been on these forums for awhile knows what I'm about to type...lol

ready.....(drum roll please)

I suggest you Check out E.S.P. (If you take a look at their endorsees you will note that 90% of them are metal players) for the features they really can't be touched in their price class
