Which flatwounds can be cut and shortened for Samick Corsair mini

I need some flat wounds for several sub short scale basses and need to know what experience you all have had with cutting cores and keeping wraps tight. I did a forum search and can't seem to find any info. Thanks to all!!

The Corsair is a 25.5 inch scale. Pyramid uke tape wounds aren't long enough.. Thanks

I don't think there are any flats on the planet that can survive the cut. That has been my experience anyway.
