Which head is in this markbass combo?

So, the general consensus is to buy this one?

I had a LMII when they came out and I really liked it. I was not really a fan of the MB cabs back then, but I could see it being useful to me now.

There is no wrong with the LMII as an amp, it's very good. However, if it doesn't do what you want or doesn't sound good to your ears it' not a good purchase at all. Have you played through one?

You'd have to play through it and decide for yourself. Do you like the sound of a 2X10? Will it keep up with the overall volume levels at your rehearsals/gigs? Does the EQ section give you useable options? I don't think any of us can answer these questions, unless your personal valet happens to be a TB member.

I'll tell you my opinion of the CMD102P:

Great sounding amp. Light and portable. Pack right, and your two hands out of the vehicle into the venue. I love the EQ options, the VLE and VPF filters, and the tilt back feature.

I passed on it for one reason--it wouldn't keep up with my loud-azz drummer. I was bummed, because it was perfect for me in every other respect. When I cranked it to match drummer, it farted out. I would have required another cabinet, which would defeat the purpose of light and portable.

So I went with the CMD151P combo (1X15, LMIII head). A little heavier, but more overhead. I can pin my drummer's ears back with it, if I so desired. I'm very, very happy. And with an extension cab (2X15) I can play large theater and outdoor stages with no problem.

Play through that CMD102P, preferably with a bangin' drummer, and you be the judge.
