Which Jumpstart pack is better?

I plan to buy my bass soon so that I can finally learn to play the bass. What would you guys recommend?

I wouldn't recommend any jumpstart packages. The amps are very low wattage and useless for jamming, which is something you will want to do sooner or later if you stick with the instrument. The basses are entry level quality and again if you decide to stick with the bass, you will probably find yourself wanting to upgrade pretty quickly. Others have suggested SX basses. I would also throw in used basses like Fender Made in Mexico jazz or precision, Ibanez sr 300, sr 400 or similar soundgear models, Yamaha BB series basses, OLP Musicman copies etc etc. For a few hundred dollars you can get a decent bass and 100 to 200 watt amp (used), both of which will cost you little money and give you alot in terms of value.
