Which Looper (Audio, not True Bypass Switcher) - With Poll!!!

The Boss RC-20XL + the FS-6 footswitch ($259 + $50 = $309), the Boss RC-50 ($499) or the EHX 2880 plus footswitch ($409 + $119 = $528).

I'll be using the item to loop live with a band playing to a click. Which is the best for this purpose? Which is of the highest quality in terms of build? Which is of the highest quality in terms of sound?

Gonna buy or order this coming weekend...

I've always been pretty happy with my RC-20XL. Its nice and easy to use with plenty of loop time available. Its sturdy and the loops sound fine etc...

No problems with it as yet.

Akai Head Rush is for sure a live looper (like the Line6 DL4).

I happily own the Boss RC-2. Just enough looping capabilities, not ridiculously expensive.

Line 6 DL4 for me, also have an older Oberheim Echoplex Pro with expanded memory that will do just about anything you want.

The Boss and Digitech loopers are good choices I would think.

I love running my bass through a MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus>Guyatone VT-X Tube tremolo>Line 6 DL4>Amp

I get alot of bang from this set up.

Don't get me wrong! I LOVE my DL4, but if one doesn't start recording the loop and/or stop the loop at the precise moment, all hell breaks loose...At one time I was working up to my Knudson setup, but I stopped at 2 and sold one immediately once the RC-2 came out.

Have you had trouble with the loop timing?

really depends on what your goals are though, 2880 isnt really band friendly, the rc20xl is alright
