Which Reverb Pedal

I'm looking for a reverb pedal.

But having never used a reverb pedal or thought of one. I have no idea which sounds good on bass.

Hows the malekko chicklet? Or line 6 echo park.

Although I'm not a big advocate of using Verb on Bass, I do own and use the holy grail. Its very simple to use..affordable and it does not seem to rob tone and or punch nor steal the low end. I use this as a spice for soloing. Very clean and transparent. Adds just enough verb to the high end when slapping, tapping etc. I use it pretty reserved but the pedal can get pretty wild too. Good bang for ther buck

The Line 6 Verbzilla is my favourite reverb pedal.
Definately try that one out.


Also... try out delay pedals for dimension to your sound.
It's all subjective... I prefer delay on bass instead of reverb. I love reverb on guitar.... so YMMV.

There's hundreds of reverb threads, reviews, opinions, etc in the TB effects forum. A quick search should yield more than enough reverb threads to keep you busy reading until next 2010 Christmas.

The EHX Holy Grail sounds great, but I use the Holy Grail Plus, which has a blend knob. Very useful on bass...

I sold my verbzilla the week after I got mine. I could not get a decent reverb sound. All the reverbs sounded metallic and nasally IMO.

I would highly recommend the boss rv-3!

I like my Holy Grail but I added a home-built Mole boost in front of it and WOW-O-LA.

Holy Grail and boost around 100 pplus an hour or so of my time to build it.l
