I'm looking for a long scale Jaguar bass - did Squier make one and if so what model name would identify it from the short scales if I was doing a search?
There was a Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special, very similar to the short scale. I'd just be careful looking at item description for those.
There was a VM Jaguar bass with tort pickguard, block inlays & stacked knobs - they were GREAT, punched well above their weight and I often regret selling mine.
There was also a Troy Sanders signature model, probably the only Silverburst Squier bass you'd see around, should be obvious there.
