Which Tone Bender?

What are your experiences with Tone Benders? There are lots of versions, but I suppose that earlier ones - Mk1, 1.5 and 2 - suck bottom end. Current Colorsound TB is based on Mk3 while Bass Fuzz on Supa TB. Mk3 is crunchy while Bass Fuzz synthy. There is also Jumbo TB and Mk4 which has more distortion than fuzz character.

So, could you say something about those versions and how they keep low end?

You will definitely want one that has a tone knob on it so you can dial in more lows. You're right about the early versions losing low end.
