Which trade offer would you take?

Those Traces were pretty common in backlines around here for a little while. Don't have much experience with them but the few times I did, yeah, huge girth and "balls" for what you'd think of as 250 watts. I might be inclned to get one for a something different and totally gig capable amp, although, with the 800rb (one of my favorites) you absolutely can't go wrong. I really liked my SWR sm400s, but some other swr's, not so much. A couple of the smaller ones, California Blond, Baby Blue, etc. were just great.

The SWR is far from "underpowered". In fact it's rated higher than either of the other amps. And it sounds awesome. I dont know how similar it would be to a 750x, probably pretty close. I love mine and will probably keep it forever.

The Trace would also be awesome. I have a newer Trace head and vintage Trace cabs. I would love to have a vintage Trace head as well. Oh, and the first time I tried out my Trace head, it was on an SWR GIII and it was killer, so I think you would probably have good results with a setup like that.

Just because more people are saying the 800RB doesnt mean its a better choice. They just sold a lot of them because they were around forever and were relatively inexpensive. How many people recommending them even have experience with the other amps?

I think out of those 3, I would probably go with the Trace. You already had a GK, you have an SWR now, why not try something different? I highly doubt you would be disappointed.

In addition to that, what leads me towards the Trace is that it is not as easily found in my parts. I can score a used 800RB andy day, or a new one for that matter.... man.... I want them both...lol.

UPDATE.....

I took the GK 800RB and cash for my SWR750X. I am very happy. I had forgotten just how good a GK 800RB sounds through SWR cabs. I really do not even think I will be running the SWR Grand Prix. The amp sounds way too good on it's own.
