Nope. It's a AVRI '63 P wearing a Fender Pure Vintage tort guard. It also has the stock mint green guard, which is on it right now.

A bass family photo from last year...'62 MIJ RI P with customization (Active PJ pickups)

Full Family photo from circa 2010. Aside from those other things, in the middle is CS '64 Jazz relic (with ashtray and pickup cover removed). Such a sweet bass. Traded it for a pedal steel guitar in 2013.

My "Afghanistan Bass" - circa 2011. CV Jazz. This is with the "Baksheesh Boys" playing the "Duck 'n' Cover Pub" at the US Embassy compound. Good times!

The Spitfire guy seems to be the only one capturing the variety of tones in old tort pickguards. Some tort is almost orangy-red, and way lighter than anything Fender have reissued recently. This is apparently a '62 P bass.
