The users. Years ago we demonstrated why we can't discuss certain topics civilly and the admin at the time decided to move them to a special politics and religion only forum. The users again demonstrated tier inability to be civil and the topics were prohibited.

Yup. Things were pretty friendly up until threads about favorite roommate from Three's Company started taking over. They were right to prohibit those.

I think as well that the mods got sick and tired of dealing with the same thing over and over. I was a new member just before they put in place the ban on religious and political subjects and to my memory, it was the same few people who turned everything into a flamefest.

They were banned long before you joined. Iirc TPA was gone by the time you joined.

I'm certain that some political and religious subjects were still cropping up in my early days on here....I could be wrong.
