Who else is slappin' flats?

Slick Joe Flick is somewhat of a master at slapping flats

I do all the time. Chromes on the frets, except one with 760s and TIs on the fretless. Slap them all. Learned it from Chuck Rainey among others. I think it sounds cool.

TI flats do pretty well with slap style.

I've got TI's on my Monarch PJ and they kill for slap. Best strings ever imo. Totally dif tone but I love it. For me they really only slap well if I have everything dimed. W the lower tension they have this kinda "wet" sound but they have great pop and punch.

One of the reasons I like Chromes and Cobalts is that they sound great for slap.
