who else thinks marcus miller looks like snoop dog?

the only thing they have in common is the sneer when they are doing there thing. but even then, they do it for different reasons. snoop sneers because he thinks he is best thing since sliced bread, marcus does it because his bass playing IS the best thing since sliced bread.

Sorry, we all don't look alike contrary to popular belief!
Really? So Prince doesn't look like Santonio Holmes? ;)

I actually see what the OP is saying. They do sort of have the same sneer. They don't look alike but they look like they could be related. If Central Casting put Snoop Dogg and Marcus in a movie together playing brothers, I'd believe it.

Off topic from original post. I just noticed on the enlarged picture of Marcus that it looks like he has 5 or 6 string wraps around his tuning pegs?! Is that how I should be wrapping my strings? I only have about 2 (3 tops) wraps on my pegs.

And to answer the OP, I think any resemblance is pretty iffy at best. Marcus looks younger than Snoop even though he is probably 10 years older (must be the smoking).

Marcus always looks pissed off to me, which proves you can't judge a book by the cover because he is a really sweet guy with lots of love in his heart. Snoop would kill you for touching his jacket ;)

i'm disappointed. first because it took until post #11 for this comment to be made. second, because i couldn't make it. well... i couldn't make the exact comment... but you get the picture. ;)

i don't know that there is a right or a wrong answer here. i do as many as a can. for one it gives a sharper string break angle at the nut. the other goes to one of those "old wives tales"... my guitar teacher from years back told me that he never cuts his strings because he can tell that they go dead quicker. so he would role up the ends all nice and neat. i respected him and did it. it became easier to do that than to cary a wire cutter. that same thing has translated over into bass as much as possible. i know... it's dumb... but i do it anyway. :rollno:

No way. Now, Don Um and Snoopy...they do look alike.
