I recently acquired a new (well, old) amp.
An Earth Sound Research Module 440 (you oldies may remember these guys). It's a guitar amp, but sounds totally kick ass with bass. (On the 'effects' channel, the fuzz/distortion get blended with the dry input signal, making it even better with bass!)
The speakers don't seem to fart out at all, even at slightly below jam levels... can't wait to try this at the next jam session!
