Who knows what the difference between those two mu-trons?

first one doesn't have on/off button. why so? is it older/newer version?

the one with 3 switches is older and better sounding. the one with the effect light is a later 70's model with an attached AC cord. i didn't like this model that much.

Thanks for reply. I assume you own one. I have few more questions not related to this topic, just don't want to start a new thread if you don't mind.
I currently have the one with 3 switches, older version.
I recently bought a new set of batteries and left the pedal unplugged but with on/off switch on "on". And in 2 days batteries were dead, so as I understand it eats batteries even unplugged unless switch in turned to "off"?
And another question, is it common for this pedal to produce noticeable sound if on/off switch is pressed while pedal is plugged and the volume on amp is turned on?

i've owned both and then some. i've had like 5 mutrons before.

they eat batteries really fast, don't use the batteries use the power supply. if you don't have the power supply, get a replacement here

if you don't have a model with a power supply, he can mod it.

if it makes bad noises, send it to him to mod (true bypass) and calibrate. he works with the original designer to do all the work. he simply is the best mutron guy out there.
