Why Aren't Multi-Effects Pedals More Accepted?

I run a Zoom MS100B, and am really getting to like it. I have no problems with hiss or tonal degradation. I use it primarily for compression & minimal eq, but am starting to explore some chorus ideas.
I wanted a comp that would give me attack & release settings in addition to ratio & sensitivity. I got the pedal because of its 2 ch design, and am patiently waiting for Zoom to release a dual channel comp with independent channel settings.
