My roomate moved out at the end of the semester. I'm just now getting used to having my own place. I go next store to talk to my old roomates brother, and he told me his girlfriends sister is going to be moving in today. All of this out of the blue.

I don't know this person. My friends girlfriend is one of those very strange people who never says a word. Kinda gives you that uncomfortable feeling and always sits there looking angry. Dosn't party or any of that stuff, and they are always going to bed early. I can only assume her sister is the same. This won't go well with me. I have many habits i'm not really of liberty to talk about here. So this may not fair well with me. So wish me luck guys.

P.s Yes I have looked at the bright side...at least it's a girl not a guy. It still sucks.

mike is right...its a girl. if she doesn't like you, she will probably hang out with other people. if plus, if she really doesn't like you, she'll move out.
or you could have it another way...would you like another guy to move in instead? at least girls are pretty clean (not all, but the majority) so you shouldn't worry.
plus, i wouldn't worry too much about being told what to do, because your roommate & his girlfriend probably told her about you already, and she didn't have to agree to live with you if she didn't like the way you sound...

Rules for living with Girls

You can no longer pick your nose.
You can no longer fart at will.
You take out the trash.
If there is a phone,it his her's now you will never get to use it
again.so get over that.
Get up early take your shower and get out of the bathroom,
cause it is hers now.
Leave the Toilet seat down and dont drip pee on the floor
or rug.
Get used to Bra's and panties air drying in the bathroom
(dont steal any panties...I know your thinkin about it.........
....But dont do it.
Take down any Girlie pics or calendars and move your Porn
to a freinds room.
oh yeah...one more thing
Clean the Bathroom before she gets there.
All this will prepare you for later in life. :help: :ninja:

I'm with you BB. I think it's unacceptable. Especially if there was a lease. I was in college for 5 years and I lived a different place every year and had different roommates every year. Never once did I have one of my roommates announce that someone new was moving in without discussing it. We had leases...if you're name wasn't on that lease it couldn't happen. People shouldn't be telling you who's moving in to a place that you partially pay for. That's just not right. Unless he owns the place your'e renting or something...then he can do whatever he wants. If he doesn't own it though and you don't like her living there then tell the landlord.

The thing with out leases is that they are individual. Meaning i'm responsible for paying the landlord only my rent. My Roomate is reponsible for paying his rent, wether he is going to be living there or not. It cost exactly the same for me there to live there alone, which is what I would rather do. All the sudden I have my freind telling me his girlsfriend sister is going to take his brothers place.

No one actually discussed it with me first. Though they don't HAVE to, it still would of been nice if I was filled in on whom I may be living with before they went ahead and made it final. I would not have said no, but it's still nice to know I have some say. What confuses me is she is not enrolled in any classes at the university. Afterall this is the classic college town. What is she going to do all day?

I meant i'm strange is a type of way where I have a sort of twizted sense of humor. From what I get she is more the "straight edge" type, and i'm completly the opposite of that. So I don't know how things are going to work out, but if I start feeling like i'm living at home then I might get a little disgrunteled. Of course, i don't know her, so I may be wrong.

Well it's just a private owner, it's not a companys that owns this place. The landlord is always asking me if my roomate found someone to take his place and I always tell him not yet. It's my roomates lease, he can sublease it to anyone since he's not living there anymore. If both of them were living there then I think that would violate the agreement.

Lease crap can get complicated.

I would'nt worry about it just make sure she respects your way of life and you to hers and not get carried away with what she does but concentrate on what you have to do
But if she starts takin over in a bossy sort've manner then Panic or what you could do if she does that is slip a few nasty cockroaches or fury spiders in her room :D
