Takes too long. Soldering is really fast. Anything that promotes movement in the wiring can produce crackling, which is never good.
I've done the twist-and-tape method to test out pickups, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything long-term. If you plan to have it connected for a month or longer, then solder and heat shrink it.
