Why the P bass obsession

Well shoot, I have no clue if it is or not. I just assumed it was. But I have seen ash bats break and shatter before ;)

For sure. In fact, that little throat protector dangley thing baseball catchers wear is the response to a shattered bat. L. A. Dodgers catcher Steve Yeager was impaled by a broken bat shard piercing his throat.

And this is why I carefully wrap my P-Bass with foam padding before swinging it at hard objects. Well, not actually. My P-Bass is the Chuck Norris of P-Basses, and it would dent the hard object. I keep it in a cage to make sure it doesn't get into trouble. I have had to do that since it got out, terrorized the neighborhood, and beat up several guitars to take their lunch money. Flats toned it down, but I can't get it to wear a tort guard, so it's got the anodized on on it, still. Even ashtrays didn't get it to behave. I dunno. Maybe if it had another P-Bass to keep it company, it would behave better. Hmmm....

Aaaand, we are up to 20 pages about P-Bass trolling. Proof, I tell ya! Could a Ric troll thread do that? Maybe, but I doubt it. Could any other bass thread do that? Nope. Now all we need is a "best P-Bass for metal" troll thread to seal the superiority of P-Basses as the best bass for stirring things up.

Thunderbirds are the stealth bass. Those are the ones you send in to do espionage before you send in a P-Bass to make a mess.
