wierd trebblish sound! help!

Okay, here's the deal. Last friday, our band had a gig. It was a 30min set. The problem is, I noticed an unwanted amount of treble in my bass tone. I use a squier VM jazz and had the tone knob completely turned down, so I wasn't adding any harmonics. I was running straight into the PA with a boss lmb3, a boss geb7 EQ and my custom volume pedal running before it. My EQ was set for a slight mid scoop tone:

(on a scale of 1 to 10, from bass to treble) - I had it set 7 5 3 4 5 6 6

Lmb3 was set:
Level 12o clock
Enhance. 7 o clck
Ratio 1 o clock
Threshold 12 o clock

But strangely, I was still getting a treblish tone! I told the sound guy to roll of the highs in the mixer but even that didn't help!

I have no idea what went wrong! Perhaps u guys can enlighten me!:crying:

It sounds like a bad cable or connector to, from, or in the snake to me. If you are running a balanced line and one side of it fails, that's what it sounds like. Weak and tinny.
