Picked this up out of the classifieds in December of 2020. Fun bass and very comfortable to play. I recently had it setup and the electronics swapped out. It originally came with Bartolini pickups and I had them swapped out for a set of Nordstrand Big Splits and new pots. I find these to be much more exciting sounding that the Bartolini's were. I will include both sets. Currently strung with a set of D'addario short scale roundwounds. I also recieved this without a case, but will include one of the new style Serek gig bags.
  • 30 inch scale
  • Quartersawn Maple neck (lightly flamed)
  • Rosewood fretboard
  • 1.6 inch nut width
  • 2.175 inch width at 12th fret
  • Hipshot UltraLite tuners
  • Kluson high mass bridge — this bridge allows for the use of either medium-scale or short-scale strings on this bass
  • Nordstrand Big Splits Pickups installed
  • New harness Wired V/V/T (Prewired (for J Bass) Passive Harness (Volume-Volume-Tone) - Best Bass Gear)
  • Original Bartolini pickups and original wiring harness will be included
Cosmetically it is in great conditions except for two dings on the front by the G string. See last picture for close up.

Will consider trade for Serek 4 String.

This is a great bass! I don’t miss most basses I’ve sold, but I miss this one. I bet it sounds fantastic with the Nordstrand Big Splits. Those were a perfect choice for this bass. GLWTS

Agree, feel like they really helped this bass come alive. The Bartolini's were a bit subdued for my tastes. Thanks for the assist on questions!

I'm certain that if the bass had the Nordstrands in it originally, I would never have sold it!

The pickup switch is a great one. I spoke with Mr. Wilcock about this bass about a year ago, he had a hard time defending the Bart's in this bass. I believe it was basically an experiment, because I believe he puts Kent Armstrongs in most of his basses. The Nordstrands are the best choice for this bass in my opinion.
