I've got a 150W 1x15 combo amp. Let's say I live in a house, in a neighborhood full of 1-acre lots. If I crank it up a little bit around the house, will it bother the neighbors? I'm wondering if it would have the same effect as the people who go around with monster car subwoofers and bother everybody, because I don't want to do that. Does anyone know?

Will a bass amp be heard by neighbors?

Yes, it will. Even a 30 or 60w amp will be heard.
If things in your house are rattling like pictures and such... others will be hearing it very well. Or feeling it.

+1, a little bass goes a long ways. I don't think it would be as bad as the cars w/ the sub woofers, but enough to disturb someone.
It travels through not just air but solids. Yes, the neighbors will hear it. Avoid playing late at night if you don't enjoy talking to stern-faced officers of law enforcement.
Since you live on a 1 acre lot, you should have too much trouble unless you get totally ignorant and keep it on 10 all the time. Use common sense, and you should be cool.
Man, now you guys have me wondering about my crappy little 15 watter on my 1/4 acre lot. Fortunately I'm on a corner lot with a cemetery behind me, so I only have one neighbor and she's older than the sun. I think I'm good to go anyhow. Definitely have to keep this in mind for when I break down and get a real amp and cabinet, though.

Just do it between 10AM & 10PM.
When I play bass in my apartment with thin walls, I play at a comfortable volume and I shut it down by 8PM. Granted, at this point, I play electric with a head phone amp, so the noise thing applies mostly to my DB.
