will a carvin b1500 work with one ampeg 4x10?

the cab is 550 @ 4 ohms and the head 1250 @ 4 ohms
how does that work?

You use the volume knob sparingly


Seriously..............just because the amp is CAPABLE of producing 1250 watts @ 4 ohms, it does not mean it is doing it all the time.

Just use your ears to tell you when you are giving the cab too much.

How that works is that you will have more than double the power handling of you cab available to you. If you are careful and listen to your equipment you should be OK but realize that you would be able to destroy your cabinet with that amp.

so it WILL work fine if i just keep control of the settings? and volume..cause i new at buying stacks

Yes you should be OK as long as you LISTEN for any signs of distress from your speakers. If you hear any turn down right away. Keep your EQ settings especially the Bass as flat as possible. Good luck with your playing.
