Will a Rumble 25 be okay checked in a suitcase for a flight?

Hello, I am flying to my mother's house for the holidays and really want to be able to practice playing my bass while I am there. My Rumble 25 fits in it fine and gives me a little extra room for the rest of my luggage. Do you all think that it will be okay on a domestic flight? Once I get it there, I'm planning to leave it, so I'll always have something there to use.

Maybe in a very hard sided suitcase, but I wouldn't risk it in any of the more common soft sided ones. Soft sided cases usually work because their contents are also soft. While the Rumble 25 is more solid than most acoustic guitars, which routinely get broken by airlines, it may not survive the rough treatment that checked baggage often gets.

How about putting it in a carry-on bag? It's got a much better chance if you're in control of it yourself. You also get the whole suitcase for your clothes, and gifts!

Grab a Vox amPlug for the visit.
Ship the Rumble another time, or get a Fender box from your local music store and put it in luggage.
Agreed with G-Dog - hard sided suitcase would be the way to go. But if you don't have one, it may be less costly to ship the amp.

I happened to see some "hard sided" luggage today and I'd have to call it only "semi-hard sided" at best. All of them I felt of are flexible plastic, which could still be very iffy with a wooden box inside.

The more I think about it, carry-on is your best bet unless, like MD says, a Vox amPlug works for you.
