will MIA necks work on a fender MIM body

recently i bought a used MIM 5string jazz bass and later found out that the neck had suffered severe damage that would cost me far more to repair than to buy a new neck. so ive been looking at necks online and i saw on ebay people are selling MIA necks and i was wondering if one of those necks would fit on my MIM?

Most likely it will be but it's no guarantee. In short...probably.

I looked into this a while back. The answer I got was was yes, for the most part. There may be a possibility of something weird. Measure the neck pocket and compare that to the standard Fender neck pocket dimensions to make sure. My (2001) MIM, for example, is exactly the same.

FWIW, I had a '90s MIA Jazz neck on a MIM Jazz body. It fit perfect, but was kind of a "dud" bass. I sold it for what it was - a parts bass.

i think i might just be better off with a warmoth so that i know its fit well to my bass only down side is that i wont have the fender logo anymore
