I recently ordered some new seymor duncan pick ups the stk-j2b's the ones Duff Mckagan uses from GNR, and Velvet, i was told that depending on the wood of your body is how much of a difference in sound they will produce. I hear that if you have a plywood body it dosent make a huge difference but i have an alder body so am i waisting my money or will these better my sound

IN MY OPINION NEW PICKUPS GENERALLY BREATHE NEW LIFE INTO AN INSTRUMENT. WHETHER THAT "LIFE" IS FOR YOU, PERSONALLY, IS A MATTER THAT CAN ONLY BE FOUND OUT THROUGH EXPERIMENTATION. YOU DIG, MAN?
