will these pups direct fit into a jazz bass?

ive been thinking these could give a jazz bass a really cool different tone but dont know if their sized to direct fit in a jazz bass.

yes, they are the same size as regular Jazz pickups.

Measure the pickups on your bass and compare the measurements listed on the link for the new ones. My guess is that they will fit.

The price is for the pair....so they are $11 pups.

...as the pic shows not much attention went into the epoxy stage, my guess is some rope wrapped around a beer can would make a better sounding pup.

Buy pups from the classifieds here. Lots of good deals. Don't be afraid to haggle a little. Maybe look into stock Fenders, Dimarzios, Emgs ... something like that.

IF you want a set of pups for a Jazz with different tone, go with some Kent Armstrong Lipsticks. Mine RAWK!!!

Schecter Diamond J pickups have single Music Man style poles and can sound nothing like average J thanks to coil tap (they make Model J sound timid). They appear here and there when people replace them (and if somebody has a pair drop me a PM).

I think a couple of J45's will only run you about $108...and they are pretty awesome!

wow i just noticed sx makes a bass that has mm/j pickup config and the neck pup has the big pole pieces i mite just grap one of those and upgrade the pots, sheild it and slap on a mighty mite neck.
