Will this case fit my bass?

I am stalking a Fender Elite Jazz Bass V 5 String ABS HARDSHELL case and if I can confirm that this will fit my 72 Jazz 4 string bass, I will pull the trigger on it. I can't think of why it would NOT fit - any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you can try it with you bass I'm not sure its a good idea. These are molded cases for specific basses and the Jazz 5 has a bigger neck so your 4 might be able to move slightly side to side, I say this from experience since I made a similar mistake.

Fender only sells one molded ABS HSC, claiming it "Fits most Fender electric basses." It doesn't matter if it is a four string or five string.
