Had a similar thought.....REALLY hope we're wrong.....Looks so cool! But I would worry about that lower horn snapping off now you removed that piece...
The piece down the center is the only structure this needs and it will be fine. The horn is pretty solid but I can see where a sharp blow might split it. Just have to be careful.I'm expecting more damage then that. While cool effect it is really not structurally sound.
