great stuff! everyone showed their stuff and then some. just like the scratch builds, i like 'em all --- i have my favorites, but all of the axes look great! kudos!

That just made deciding/voting more difficult! All really good builds. I need a new set of criterion: originality, execution, composition, just plain "guts" to do something not "off the shelf", and more.

Yeah, I'm probably getting ahead of myself. But I've started gathering specs for my next build... and I will be working on a drawring soon. Assuming that the SBO is going to be more or less "open", then I won't have to worry about justifying the fit into a theme.

I should start oven drying my summer buildoff slabs now. I dont want to have the same situation I did with the winter buildoff (where they weren't dry enough 4 weeks into the competition) Its been air drying for 6 months
