Been absent lately…. Health issues, and wasn't able to work on my builds. Apologies to those who were watching along… I'll get back in the shop when I can.

This was a blast! Thank you for organizing the event, Beej. Kudos to the winners and builders. This is a great little community.
So...when's the Spring Build Off start?

Next up will be the summer build off running Thursday, June 20, 0:00 GMT until Sunday, September 22, 0:00 GMT. It's gonna be a wild and crazy no holds barred summer slamming super show down spectacular!

Sounds like someone's plannin' to go all @rojo412 !So you're saying I have time to get a practice build or two in, eh?![]()
That sucks!
I have cervicalgia(no disc's left in my neck) so I can relate to chronic pain.
Also, isn't that the same thing Mick Marrs has... he seems to be managing reasonably well
Praying brotherSo I thought I'd give an update… I didn't feel like starting a thread for it was appropriate in this part of the forum, though this is my favorite place on talkbass….
I just got test /x-ray results on my back problems that have stalled my building. Apparently I have a degenerative bone disease called spondylosis deformans. Spinal degeneration that also has bone spurs and other fun stuff. No real cure, just pain management and supplements to help bone density and growth, from what I understand. I'm hoping to find out more in the coming week. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. But in my 55 years on this earth I've broken my neck and been paralyzed, and recovered…. Had stage 4 cancer that was treated and in remission…. And lots of mishaps and broken bones/surgeries…. So I'll find a way through this.
Anyway, I'm hopeful to get some sort of treatment regimen that will allow me to start building again…. But until then, my builds will be slow going. Sorry guys.

Thank youBest wishes for your recovery, @Dark Horse
So sorry to hear that. Prayers and positive vibes sent!Well. Doesn't seem likely that any of my builds will get finished.
The cancer is back, and much worse than last time…. Aggressive and widespread… prostate, a mass in my abdomen, and spread throughout my lungs and bones. I'll probably check in to see the awesome things talk are building while I'm in treatment though. Thank you all for the years of inspiration, tips, and forum friendship![]()
