Not really! It gets to around 14 degrees during the day and -4 at the night at my dad's house, and he only lives 45 minutes out of Sydney.
Not cold compared to other parts of the world, but it's pretty cold for Australia.

-4 ?? I live about 20 mins from sydney, and Its never been that cold here..

Then again, I am fairly coastal, helps to moderate the temperature!

I'm originally from Oregon so i'm used to winter being moderately cold but not really snowy or too freezing. Although since moving down to Cali for school, my parents moved to alaska and i got sick of high temperatures. So i relish the time i'm getting up here right now. Went from the 60's down in Cali to being around highs of 5 degrees on a good day. We're having a bit of a heat wave though. Gets up to 20 degrees most days now.

I love winter but the snow we've got today in Newcastle absolutely sucks. Anything more than a light sprinkling and the roads are crippled.

We don't get temperatures that low until night-time over here. Sometimes it reaches mid sixties on cold nights.

it is 8 degrees right now in downtown boston. wind chill of -10.
it's actually much warmer now than it was at 5 this morning, when i was outside waiting for the bus.

It's -2F here in central Wisc. It's been so cold the last couple of weeks my skin is starting to rash up really bad. Had to see the doctors yesterday for some prescription. It's gonna suck when I get the bill.

Winter is the best. How some of you winter haters feel now is exactly how I feel in the summer. At least in the winter, I can put on a coat if it's cold.
