Let's get things started!

1st off, a BIG thanks to Forest Gallien (https://www.instagram.com/fgallien/) and GK Amplifiers for getting me into the show. Of course, none of this would have happened without the endeavors of one Mr. @TonyP-

Thanks to these guys I get to once again unleash the NAMM Shark (trademark pending) and swim through the masses, only stopping to take pictures of every bass that I can find at NAMM.

Day 0 started, and I arrived in the early afternoon to grab my badge. Checking out the scenery, and running across some YouTube celebrities.

To get my badge, I was sent into the depths of the Earth (aka Hall E), and wandered through endless tunnels, until I came upon the Cavern of Will Call!

And here we are this morning, NAMM has not yet officially opened...AND I ALREADY HAVE PICTURES?!!???!

Well, you see, after grabbing my badge, I got a little lost. And in my wandering I somehow ended up in Hall D. No time to explain; come with me

Where is the first place I went? To the GK booth, of course.

After investigating the place and offering to supervise, I found out @TonyP- was heading to the booth. While waiting for him

, I wandered around a little bit.

@TonyP- showed up, and like a proud papa he couldn't stop gushing over the new GK amps.

Then we went wandering around Hall D together, constantly stopping because @TonyP- saw someone he knew, or saw a bass that he wanted to play.

Side note: @TonyP- brought a gorgeous G&L bass that will be living at the GK booth. So if you're at NAMM, come by and check it out.

@TonyP- introduced me to this gentleman with the words "he's the smoothest player in the world".
Mitch is going to mainly be at the Olento booth, but he was helping out the Alleva-Coppola booth when I met him.

Did you run into any problems getting to the convention center with the fires?

Did you run into any problems getting to the convention center with the fires?

None at all. They are all miles away to the northwest. I came in from Vegas (the northeast). I expected the air quality to be much worse than it is. If I didn't already know the fires existed I wouldn't be aware of them.

I checked the science on this, and it turns out that the Los Angeles metropolitan area is really, really big. Who knew?
