Does anybody have the wire assignment for the 3 wires on these pickups? (Red, Black and white) Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mot many member me have these basses, and most of those who bought them, returned them for QC issues.
If you have a multi-meter, you can figure it out yourself.
Usually, white is hot and black is ground...but it’s anyone’s guess with pickups made overseas.
In the older model of these basses (J pickups), changing pickups was a MONUMENTAL change in sound and ability. I can only imagine that the Zen Blades will be amazing on it. If they turn out too clear or polite, you could always opt for the Big Splits. Those pickups are "punch you in the face" aggressive in the best way ever. And they don't hum.
Whichever way you go, it sounds like an awesome bass project and I'd love to see pics![]()
I had honestly thought that my GAS with Squiers had come to an end a while back... then they made this one and I'm back on the train again.
That thing is looking great and I'm sure the pickups are going to make this bass killer.
Thanks ECE. I’ve made some extensive changes to this bass and have decided to just change the pickups. I installed Hipshot tuners, a graphite nut, Hipshot A bridge, converted to a five knob 4 band Audere preamp (18v). I tried Bartolini Singularity pickups but didn’t quite like them in this bass. I have a set of Nordstrand Zen Blades on the way. I hope that will be the final mod. Luckily, everything I did was from parts I already had laying around the house. Those changes improved this bass 10 fold. I can’t wait to see what the pickups do.
