I have been through quite a few wireless systems over the years (mostly AKG) and have only just invested in the Sennheiser ew 172 g2 system, i always had peak/clipping problems with AKG and was hoping that the 172 g2 would rule that out. However, i cannot get my Music man to completely stop clipping. I have it set at -30DB, which is the lowest but still no luck! anyone with experience with this system would be of great help! thanks!!

Wireless clipping problems

yes, the signal does clip on the belt pack when playing the E string in a heavy manor! the sound is ace apart from that one peak!

There is a sensitivity adjustment on the belt pack as well as on the wireless unit. Do you have them both set at -30? IDK 
JonnyAngle is right. Set the sensitivity on the beltpack to a lower setting to eliminate this problem.

I've got a sterling with the same wireless unit as you. It's built like a tank, and have never regretted shelling out the cash! ...once you get it all set up that is.
thanx man yea i know about the X2. but im in the UK and it's not available to buy, plus frequencies that it runs on are used by tv channels over here!
also the plastic its made from wouldn't last five minutes on tour.

Sure it would....unless of course you throw it in the back of a trailer without a case. Mine's been going strong for over a year now.
