So I have an inexpensive wireless for my bass. Just a small Transmitter and another small receiver. I use it on my passive basses. Work okay, and eliminates stepping on or tripping over wires.

Now I wanna mic my saxophones. I'm wondering if I can just plug a dynamic mic into the transmitter and be done or do I need a whole new setup. Has anyone tried this? Technical consideration of the transmitter is not an issue. The wireless system is responsive from C0 - C8 and far beyond. :cigar:

I think I'm worried about whether a phone made in the USA can transmit Japanese. :eyebrow:

If the plug size from the dynamic mic to the transmitter is the same, then you should be able to use one with no issues. The beltpack won't know where the signal is coming from, whether it's a bass or a microphone. You will likely need to adjust your gain, but no big deal.

Many lavalier or instrument mic wireless systems use the same transmitter/receiver as the guitar systems - they just swap in a mic for a 1/4" cable.

I thought that should be the case, but didn't want to spend the money on an instrument mic just to discover it wouldn't work.

What wireless system is it, and do they have a microphone version of it? You could compare online first.
The wireless 'system' is just a transmitter and a receiver, they have built in rechargeable batteries. Name is Muslady. I haven't seen a microphone version and a search turns up nothing. I have plenty of adapters so I'll get the instrument mic and give it a go. If it works as expected I'll change the mic 3.5 mm male ts end to a 1/4" ts female end.
