Wireless Routers

I have a Belkin and it's so far been doing great for 2 years now. I just gotta figure out how to make it secured. Pardon me for sounding mean, but I don't want to share my internet if I gotta pay for it. I mean sometimes when I am out and need internet, and have my laptop, half the others with it has it set "security" and I can't get it. So if they don't wanna share, why should I?? Mean mean I know.

selena, the last thing you want to do is have your home network open to the world. there are peeps out there that are possibly stealing info from you by sniffing data packets and with malicious intent.

i highly recommend you have some set up your router with some security asap. :)

Anyone out there using an Apple router? Positive and negative experiences welcome. I am wonering if dual band is necessary and if this is a nice router or really overpriced. Thoughts?
