wiring help

I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to wire my carvin j99 pups to an aguilar obp-3. I've got the whole preamp wired up, all i have to connect now is the pups. I have volume, blend, treble, bass and a mid push/pull pot. The diagram was very clear on how to wire the pots to the preamp, but for the pups all it shows is one wire in the diagram. My pups have three wires each; a fat black one, a skinny black one and a skinny red one. A little help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

FWIW:

Sounds wierd. If you have a meter, check the leads. Are you sure the "fat black wire" isn't a jacket with multiple leads within it? Small red lead indicates an active pup when it's smaller than the other leads.
