Wiring pups sans pots ?

A guy asked on another forum if it's ok to wire a guitar without pots ? Not sure why, but he has no replies. So, am I correct to assume doing so would be the same as if the guitar has no-load pots set at no-load position ? Or does the tone cap come into play ?

You would have a very hot/bright output.

Many people do this with P basses for extra output.

If you don't want controls, you might want to consider using fixed resistors to simulate the loading effect of the pots.

Here is a diagram that simulates the volume and tone controls on "10" for a one volume and one tone setup with 250Ks.
