Double Bass Wizzy 10 replacement driver options?

That wizzy looks very much like a eminence deltalite from the back. The font end photo's are the other way around are they? The right one has a suspension and cone material that also look very much like a deltalite. It could very well be a deltalite with an added wizzer cone.

Did you try how the b102 sounded in that cab? would be interesting to try a deltalite too.

I took photo's of an older model deltalite 10 I had stashed away somewhere. The back is identical tot the wizzy except for the connections and the eminence sticker. I think the cone material is a bit more blue on the newer ones.

No, the left one is the Wizzy driver in both pics.
The Wizzy wizzer cone is bigger than the B102's, and its voice coil has a larger diameter too.
The cone material is black. On the B102, the cone material is blueish.

That's strange, because mine looks just like the pictures in Don Kaspers post, and the front side looks identical to the left speaker in your pictures. Mine is at least 15 years old though, so maybe they made some changes? By itself I would not describe it as soft or tame, but I can't compare it to the wizzy.

I think EA does significant changes to the stock drivers to make them perform the way they do.
Most of their drivers have Kevlar instead of paper cones, and some of their other design choices take performance over a low price - basically they are putting all the corners that are cut on the stock drivers back in.
So...I would not put anything other than the exact replacement speaker back in a cab.

Well, that's a point of view.
In my case, it's just the tone that counts.
I'd sell the cab otherwise, so it was a good move for me.
